Class Descriptions
Intro to Ashtanga Yoga - (Level 1) Foundations of Yoga Philosophy, breathing and basic postures.
Asthanga Prep. - (Level 2) Introduction of the more challenging poses in the First Series.
Primary Series - (Level 2/3) Entire First Series of Ashtanga yoga.
Ashtanga Improv - (Level 2/3) Vinyasa Flow based on the principles of Ashtanga Yoga.
Mysore - (All levels) Self-practice with hands-on guidance from a teacher. This is NOT a lead class.
Multi-Level Yoga - (All levels) Hatha structured class with Iyengar Yoga influences.
Teen Yoga -Class for youths, ages 10-15. A fun approach to learning classical yoga postures.
Yoga Basics - (All levels) Focuses on the core poses of Ashtanga yoga and will incorporate movement with breath to cultivate a calm mind and centered body.
Vinyasa - is derived from Ashtanga Yoga. It employs the technique of connecting postures with breath, but is not limited to the six series of postures specific to the Ashtanga practice as outlined by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois . It connects movement and breath but can be arranged into different sequences that can meet the practitioner’s need or mood.
